In a graph, the quadrants are marked from the top right corner and goes anti-clockwise

Hence we will have (+,+) in the Quadrant I

(- , +) in quadrant II

(-,-) in quadrant III

and

(+,-) in quadrant IV

Now the given point (-5,5) is a (-,+) and hence it lies in the quadrant II
