Please help! Q and R are mutually exclusive events. If P(Q)=0.1 and P(R)=0.45, find P(Q or R).

A) 0.550
B) 0.045
C) 0.505

0.45 x 0.1 = 0.045 is the correct answer. Hope I helped.

I want to say that it is A) 0.550

I'm pretty sure that you only multiply when it says and, as in P(Q and R).
P(Q or R) means that you add the two probabilities.

0.1 + 0.45 = 0.550

Correct me if I am wrong though. I was never very good with probability.
