This best illustrates the dangers of "Self-fulfilling prophecies".

A self-fulfilling prophecy is a forecast that specifically or in a roundabout way makes itself turn out to be valid, by the very terms of the prediction itself, because of positive input amongst conviction and conduct. A self-fulfilling prophecy is a conviction that works out in light of the fact that we are going about as though it is now valid.
