Abdelkader ibn Muhieddine was an Algerian religious and military leader who led Algerians during their fight against French Colonial invasion in the 19th Century.

He was important because he led the people during a tremendous struggle, always caring for what we now call Human Rights, which drew admiration towards him. He's also famous for combining religious and political authority, and he's also known as the "Saint among the Princes, the Prince among the Saints."

He used Religion to unite diverse groups within Algeria.
