4 girls = 30 yards

1 girl = 30 ÷ 4 = 7.5 yards

Answer: Each girl needs to spread 7.5 yards of dirt.

To spread the dirt evenly between the 4 girls, divide total yards of dirt (30) by the number of girls (4).

= 30 yards ÷ 4 girls

= 30/4
simplify by 2

= 15/2
convert to mixed number

= 7 1/2 yards per girl

ANSWER: Each girl needs to spread 7 1/2 yards.

Hope this helps! :)
