On March 13, 1868, which President was the first to be attempted to be impeached? How many senators had to approve in order to have him impeached?

The President's name was Andrew Johnson! In order to have him impeached the Senate had to be two-thirds majority! The vote was 35-19 to impeach him they were only lacking 1 single vote!
