Multiply by 2 in equation (ii)-

We get,

6 x + 4 y = 830....................(iii)

Subtract equation (i) from equation (iii)-

6 x + 4 y = 830

5 x + 4 y = 725

x = 105

Put x = 105 in equation (i)-

5 × 105 + 4 y = 830

525 + 4 y = 830

4 y = 830 - 525

4 y = 305

y = 305/4

Hence x = 105 & y = 305/4.
