Why did the
Persian Wars
begin?

So I learned about this but I never got an exact answer. The Persian wars began because the Romans wanted an expansion.

The Persian wars began because the Persian king, Darius wanted to expand the Persian empire and so that brought the Persian war between the Greeks and the Persians. The first attack was in 490 b.c. and the Persians lost which made Darius embarrassed and wanted to continue so that is why there was a series of the war.
