In a moment of despair, Azucena swallowed a bottle of sleeping pills to try to kill herself. Thankfully her father found her, took her to the hospital, and she was rescued. Why wouldn't this action be considered an act of aggression.

Answer:

This action is not an act of aggression, for by definition, an "act of aggression" would be a attack (either physical or mental or something else) on somebody else. In this case, Azucena was harming herself (self-harm), and had not shown aggression to another human being.
