Water is leaking out of a container. At 2:30 p.m., there are 36 pints of water in the container. At 4 p.m., there are 30 pints of water in

the container.
If the water continues leaking out of the container at the same rate, how much water will be in the container at 6:30 p.m.?

There would be 20 pints left. Because 2 pints of water fall out every half hour since 6 pints were lost in 1:30 hours. There are 2:30 hours between 4:00 and 6:30 so 10 pints would be lost, so the answer is 20 pints are left.
