To get the range of the function we substitute the points in the domain.

f(-1) =

x = 0

f(0) =
$ (1)/(2) (0) - 6 = 0 - 6 = -6 $

x = 2

f(2) =
$ (1)/(2) (2) - 6 = 1 - 6 = -5 $
