WHAT DOES IT MEAN BY 'England's difficulty was Ireland's oppurtunity'

Answer:

It means that when Ireland saw that England was struggling, they saw an opportunity to take advantage of England. Think of it as a game of tag. If your the tagger, your not going to run after the fastest kid, your going to go after the kid who's slower. That's what Ireland was doing, Ireland was being the tagger, and England is the slow kid.

I hope this helps!!!
