It is accidental bias, typically regarding race or gender. you are more likely to support a person of the same group as you. this affects business because you may unconsciously make a better deal with a white person if you are white, or a better deal with a fellow woman, etc.

Unconscious biases are learned stereotypes that are automatic, unintentional, deeply ingrained, universal, and able to influence behavior. It affects the workplace because Unconscious biases in the workplace can stymie diversity, recruiting and retention efforts, and unknowingly shape an organization’s culture.
