The reactants for the photosynthesis reaction are Light, water and carbon dioxide

Explanation:

The water, carbon dioxide and light are essential reactants of photosynthesis reaction. The reactants are taken by the plants from its surrounding environment.

  • First the light energy required for the process is absorbed by the green pigment called the chlorophyll present in the plants .This light energy is converted into to chemical energy, i.e. Being stored in sugar form.
  • Water required for photosynthesis is taken by the plant’s root.
  • Finally, it absorbs required carbon dioxide through its leaves from the environment and converts into oxygen.
