Answer:

Separation of power is a way that we create to divide the power of government and distribute it two different branches. We do this to prevent the government from transforming into a tyranny.

Step-by-step explanation:

Checks and balances is one of the methods that we can use for the separation of power.

in united states, we divided the government into 3 branches:

- Legislative branch , which has the power to create laws

- Executive branch. which has the power to enforce the laws

- Judiciary. which has the power to interpret the laws.

Each branches have their own unique function. To control their influence ,we provide additional powers for each branch to check and balance other branches.

- Legislative branch has the power to override the decision made by the executive branch through internal voting

- Executive branch has the power to appoint the justices in the judiciary branches

- The judiciary branch has the power to mark the laws passed by legislative branch as unconstitutional.
