I dont understand how 3.6 divided by 100 is .036...how do I get that answer

Answer:

3.6 divided by 100 would be moving the decimal place to the left two places.

Try drawing it out.

I've included an attachment that I hope helps illustrate what I mean!

It is basically the opposite of multiplying by anything with 0’s at the end
