What if dessert plants were removed from the desert

Answer: if plants died or were otherwise removed from the desert then all of the animals that rely on them for a source of food and water would not be able to survive. Deserts don't get very much rainfall, so even with the lack of food being not taken into account because some animals way each other, the animals would quickly die of dehydration. Animals at the bottom of the food pyramid that are herbivores would pass away, creating a domino effect, killing off all of the animals above them
