When a sound source is approaching you, the pitch you hear becomes higher, indicating an increase in perceived frequency. If a light source is moving toward you very quickly, its perceived frequency also increases. This perception of increased frequency alters the color of the light as it approaches. Which end of the visible light spectrum would you expect the color of the light to shift toward?

The color of the light would shift toward the blue or violet end of the spectrum, due to the perception of an increased frequency.

I would expect it to shift closer to purple because purple has the highest frequency in the visible spectrum.
