People have different skin colors mainly because their melanocytes (me·lan·o·cyte) produce different amount and kinds of melanin (mel·a·nin). The genetic mechanism behind human skin color is mainly regulated by the enzyme tyrosinase (tai·raa·suh·neiz), which creates the color of the skin, eyes, and hair shades. The amount anyone/everyone produces are much different and can lead to all types of skin, hair, and eye colors and types!
