Answer: The purpose of conjugation is to indicate the number of the subject (singular or plural), tense (such as past or future), and mood (such as indicative, subjunctive or imperative).

The infinitive is the most basic form of a verb. In Spanish, infinitives always end in -ar, -er or -ir, with -ar being the most common.

I don't really remember how they are related but i hope the first part helps!
