The thesis should be phrased as a question?

The thesis is your statement. It is the main point or purpose you are trying to get across. It cannot be asking something. It must a statement, not a statement.

Remember, a thesis states your position on your topic. A question cannot state anything because it is not a statement. A question is a great lead in to a thesis, but it can't be the thesis.
