10.25%.

Explanation:

The increase of the lengths and width is by a factor 1.05. ( as the increase is 5%).

So the increase of the area is by a factor 1.05^2 = 1.1025.

So the percent increase in the area = 1.1025 - 1

= 0.1025

= 10.25%.
