CONGRATULATIONS! You have earned $200

walking dogs for your neighbors. You decide to
go to Game Stop to buy several games for the
Nintendo Switch at $35 each.
After paying, you have $60 left. How many
games did you buy?
OH NO! The cashier chases you down in the
parking lot because he forgot to charge you
sales tax. If the sales tax is 7%, how much will
you pay in sale tax? Explain how you got the answers

Answer:

You bought 4 games

Tax is $9.80

You have $50.20 left

Explanation:

First, YAY!

Lets figure out how many games you bought.

200-60=140.

140/35=4

You bought 4 games.

So, you spent 140$.

OH NO! SALES TAX!

$140*0.07(sales tax)=$9.8

If we subtract that from 60, we get $50.20 left. You could probably get another game!
