Equal Rights amendment has to be authorized by the three fourth of the states which means thirty eight states have to approve the act whereas only thirty five states have endorsed and gave consent for this amendment.
Though 95% of the population is in favor of the amendment, still the ratification process is not complete. ERA should be ratified as it eliminates any disparity on account of sex. Many women Job seekers can be hired as this law safeguards their interest. It also reduces any harassment on women in the workplace as it shields the women rights.
This act would instigate the morale if the country and America would gain much reputation in the midst of countries who give less importance to women. The overall turnover and the productivity of the economy would escalate which is a sign of Economic development of the country.
