Answer:

After the French and Indian war, Britain spread its influence across whole North America. They took Canada from France, and established their dominance as a colonial empire.

Normally, this brought them great wealth and economical prosperity, and also enabled their trade monopoly on the Atlantic.

On the other hand, colonists who participated on the side of Britain were not able to profit from this, mostly because Britain just imposed some new taxes on them.
