Answer:

Liz is upset with his father’s tears and his state. He does have a job thus challenging to earn money to support his family financially. This is so brutal to him, and he feels embarrassed because of the poverty that rotates around his family and to the general blacks. However, this state makes Liz’s father in the worst scenario, and because of this, he cries, and this hurts Liza very much. However, she tells her father that she has not seen a man cry before, and she shies off.
