What is the difference, if any, between a Portable Media Player (PMP) and a Digital Media Device (DMD)? PMPs can be analog or digital, while DMDs only play digital files. PMPs and DMPs are typically referred to interchangeably. PMPs can be taken anywhere, while DMDs are not made to be carried around. PMPs are generally much more affordable than DMDs.
