Articles of Confederation reflected the principle ‘limited Government because it provided unprecedented powers to the state making the Union or the central to be weak and fragile.

Confederate states were given powers to impose taxes and execute laws in the legislature but the central or Union Government were given limited powers to pass on bills and policies in legislature but cannot execute and denied to impose taxes on the states.

This was considered to be a disadvantage and the founding fathers recognized the necessity of the strong Union Government which was achieved by drafting the constitution with necessary amendments in it.
