1.The Court has to have “jurisdiction” over the defendant. This means that the Court has the right to hear and decide a case for the person you are suing. In general, you have to file your lawsuit where the injury happened, or where the contract was supposed to happen, or where the defendant lives.

3.The law is important for a society for it serves as a norm of conduct for citizens. ... The law is important because it acts as a guideline as to what is accepted in society. Without it there would be conflicts between social groups and communities. It is pivotal that we follow them.
