Peter hoped to investigate and learn about all types of technology and science,

especially the latest techniques of shipbuilding and seamanship, particularly
navigation. He also wanted to study the way navies were organized, and recruit
specialists to travel home with him. If they advised and trained others, Russia too could have a strong navy.

What did Peter learn during his travels to Western Europe?

Answer: While visiting the Netherlands, Peter learned much about life in Western Europe. He studied shipbuilding in Zaandam (the house he lived in is now a museum, the Czar Peter House) and Amsterdam, where he visited, among others, the upper-class de Wilde family.

Explanation: yay!
