There are three different types of plane: sagittal, frontal and transverse.

It divides our body into two parts: ventral and dorsal.

Frontal plane is divided in six parts. These are Adduction, Abduction, Elevation, Depression, Inversion and Eversion.

All these six parts are responsible for different movements.

Adduction: Adduction helps towards the midline of body

Abduction: Abduction helps to motion, which is away from the midline of body

Elevation: Elevation helps to a superior position but only at scapula.

Inversion: it helps to lift to the medial border of the foot

Eversion: it helps lifting to the lower part of the foot
