(4+3)^2+5

do the bracket first

4+3= 7

7^2= 7*7 because of the exponent

7*7= 49

49+5= 54

Answer: 54

To solve this you must use the rules of PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponent, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction)

First we have parentheses.

(4 + 3)² + 5

4 + 3 = 7

7² + 5

Next solve the exponent.

+ 5

7² = 7 × 7 = 49

49 + 5

Now for the addition

49 + 5

54
