Explanation:

The Average rate of change is the ratio of change in y and the change in x

Hence

Avg Rate of Change = Change in y / Change in x

The two coordinates are

(-4,0) and (0,4)

Change in x = 0-(-4) = 4

Change in y = 4-0 = 4

Hence

Avg Rate of Change = 4/4

= 1

Answer = 1
