a push factor is like this. say you lived in a town with lots of roaches. that would make you want to get out of the town, therefore pushing you to want to get out of town. a pull factor is like this. if there was a town with fancy stuff like golden fountains and butlers that only costs 10 dollars to live in, that would make you want to go therefore pulling you towards the nice town.
