Antonia is standing 2.8 miles away from Mt. Drash. She has to tilt her head upwards 68° in order to look straight at the peak of the mountain. She wants to figure out how high the mountain is.

tan(62) = x / 2.8 where x = the height of the mountain

tan(62) * 2.8 = x = 5.3 miles

Using the law of tangents.

Tan(angle) = Opposite Leg / adjacent leg

Tan(68) = x / 2.8 miles

x = 2.8 x tan(68)

x = 6.93

The mountain is about 6.9 miles high.
