Explain the placement of the decimal point when dividing by a power of 10.

When we divide a number by the power of ten the decimal point shifts towards left of that number. Mathematically for example,


(6)/(10) = 0.6 \\ (54)/(10) = 5.4 \\ (234)/(10) = 23.4 \\ \frac{132}{ {(10)}^(2)}= (132)/(100) = 1.32 \\ \frac{2345}{ {(10)}^(3) } = (2345)/(1000) = 2.345
