The beginning of this narrative
A. establishes a setting
B. sets out a problem
C. makes an intriguing statement
I used to complain about all sorts of little annoyances: long lines at the water park; the bottled juice I bought there not being cold enough; having to stay overnight at a hotel that didn’t have room service. But that was the “old Max.” He ceased to exist on July 3 of last summer somewhere between New Braunfels and Houston, Texas.

Maybe so. But to someone like Pastor Singh, who has to line up each day in Mumbai just to get water, those might seem like petty annoyances.
