Romans was first The first fire brigade was created in 6 AD. Roman firemen were summoned as vigeles. They appropriated containers of water which was moved from people to people. They additionally had hatchets and large machetes to pull down structures and make fire breaks. However, Rome underwent a critical attack of fire in 64 AD.
