To my knowledge, Galileo Galilei is widely noted as the "Father of Physics."

The following is a list of individuals credited with said title: Sir Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla, Thomas Edison, and Allesandro Volta (the literal pioneer of electricity), among many more.
