Throughout this scene, Everyman observes the discrepancy between the words and actions of those around him. What is the lesson the play is trying to teach us?

Don't always trust everybody who promises you something. They don't always do it. Actions speak louder tha words. Beauty, Strength, Discretion, and Five-wits represent worldly goods. In death, Everyman cannot depend on these four characteristics.
