The French and Indian War was fought between Britain and France. Britain was allied with the American colonists and members of the Iroquois Confederacy. On the other hand, the French were allied with members of the Huron and Algonquin tribe. This war lasted roughly 7 years and resulted in a British victory. Britain gained more territory in North America. However, this war caused them to go into debt. This debt would eventually lead to the taxes that helped spark the American Revolution.
