Why were African slaves influential in the growth of the French Louisiana colony?

They provided labor for large sugar plantations.

They were the only ones that could survive the climate of Louisiana.

They made up a large population that encouraged other settlers to come to the colony.

They were experienced in growing rice.

African slaves were influential because they were forced to work large plantations for white owners who paid them either very little or nothing and took advantage of the slaves but the African spaces did not have any rights in America therefore they had to get unreal amounts of work done for plantation owners. Hope that helped. American history is so dark.
