What is George Orwell’s purpose in writing

In his essay “why I write?” Orwell explains 4 reasons . He states that one of the reasons is that he wants to come off as clever ; he feels the need to be political; he feels the historical impulse and wants to present things factually as they are ; and last but not least he wants to enjoy how his writing influences others
