Rewrite the expression using positive exponents:
1.) y^-3 2.) x^-5 3.) 3x^4

Negative exponents work like this: you have to consider the multiplicative inverse of the positive exponent.

So you have


y={-3} = (1)/(y^3),\quad x^(-5) = (1)/(x^5)

The third expression already contains positive exponents only, you don't have to do anything.
