Kate is 10 years older than her Brother. In three years time, she will be twice as old as her Brother. Find their present age.

Can anyone help me with this question , I’m really weak in Age question.

Explanation:

Let kate age be x

and Her brother age be x - 10

according to equation

x + 3 = 2(x-10+3)

x + 3 = 2x - 14

2x - x = 14 + 3

x = 17

Therefore ;

Kate's present age = 17

Her brother's present age = 17-10 = 7
