Nina can buy 3 sandwiches and 4 iced teas for $10.41. She can buy 1 sandwich and 3 iced teas for $5.12. Find the cost for one sandwich and one iced tea. [Answer must be a sentence with a proper label.]

Answer: s=1.27 t=1.65

Step-by-step explanation:


3s + 4t = 10.41 \\ s + 3t = 5.12

Times the bottom equation by 3 to eliminate the x.


3s + 12t = 15.36 \\ 3s + 4t = 10.41 \\ 3t = 4.95 \\ t = 1.65


3s + 6.6 = 10.41 \\ 3s = 3.81 \\ s = 1.27

You subsititute to find s by putting it into one of the equations
