it was estimated that 200 people would attend game night, but 196 people actually attended what is the percent error, to the nearest percent, of the estimate?

Subtract the two numbers to find the difference:

200-196 =4

Divide the difference by the estimated number:

4/200 = 0.02

Multiply by 100 to change to percent:

0.02 x 100 = 2%

The answer is 2%
