Answer:

Women's lives did not change after the war. Women belonged in the kitchen and in the home before and after the war. This was still the time period during which women had many domestic duties and our economy allowed for one income homes. Men could go to work and they were paid well enough to support a wife and 3-5 children. Women would not see their lives change in their generation or their children's.
