Publishing news which does not reflect the truth damages democracy. Journalism has to guarantee a human right: to provide reliable information to the citizens. Information which is not true is known as "fake news". This is a problem for American journalism since it has been publishing fake news lately. There are some newspapers and TV news that belong to big media coorporations. These are not interested in human rights but in gaining power.

It is undeniable the important role of american journalism not only in the lives of its inhabitants, but also in the global dynamics, hence the importance of establishing reliable sources of information that avoid falling into human mistakes of speculation and incitement to violence.
