The 19th amendment gave women the right to vote. We had given black men the right to vote, which meant that now they were essentially equal to white men in terms of politics, and that would hopefully lead to equality in every aspect. By giving women the right to vote it allowed all women to be equal to all men. American democracy means that everyone is equal. Essentialy everyone gets the right to vote. Everyone gets a say.
